I almost returned it purely because the assembly was ridiculous. It took me and my spouse 5.5hrs to put it together; we are not beginners, you will need two people the product is extremely finicky.
So the first part is the worst, the E/F do not line up, one of the planks was slightly shorter. We ended up ditching some of the wooden sticks and use packing tape until the other steps aided in securing it into place.
The shelves also gave us issues. We followed the directions to the T and when we went to put the back on we were unable to secure it properly since the Q panels weren’t fitting correctly. We ended up flipping them around so they would fit which is why our shelves don’t look like the advertisement.
If you move homes a lot I wouldn’t get this. It’s very heavy and not super sturdy. We ordered anchors for the wall.
Also I got this one instead of another for the bench to sit and put on shoes but I sat on it and definitely won’t be using it for that.
It’s so pretty I just don’t know if I would buy again.

Love it! Perfect size for what I needed. Good quality and sturdy. Came with all of the peices, nothing was missing and no damage to anything. My only complaint is that it was a little difficult trying to put it together. I would definitely suggest having two people. Other than that I am very happy with the product!

How this piece of furniture has so many positive reviews is beyond me. The furniture it self is junk, it made out of particle wood and the back board is flimsy. Two of the board pieces were cracked. Then, the holes didn’t line up after placing all those pegs. After all of this I decided to return it. It’s been two weeks since Amazon picked it up and it shows it’s still in transit with Amazon. I really wasn’t going to waste time writing a review but I’m really annoyed on how long their refund process is. They were quick to take my money but now are taking their sweet time refunding my money.

Awesome hall tree, assembly is normal to products in this price range. Assembly can be difficult if you do not read directions properly, just take your time and it’ll come together. Very sturdy when done. Would highly recommend, our whole home is pretty much finished with Ashely Furniture and you couldn’t tell this piece was any less quality than high dollar furniture. Just BUY IT!

The size of this was perfect for me entry way, especially the height. Instructions are very self explanatory and LOVE that it came with a screw driver and Allen! Definitely a 2 person job to build tho. Most of all a very awesome reasonable price!

This hall tree arrived today, it came in less than 24 hours since I ordered it which surprised me.
At first I was hesitant in ordering this after seeing the reviews but I will say everything so far is great. It took me an hour maybe an hour and half to put it all together. All the pieces fit together perfectly and the directions were clear. My wife helped a little bit by holding a piece here and there but I mostly put it together all by myself.
So far so good everything seems very sturdy with the product and it seems like a decent quality for the price.
I have only 2 complaints about this product, the white is more of an off white/light beige-y color and would have preferred if it was more white. And it came with 2 anchors and on the hall tree there are two notches for the anchors to go, I put the anchor above the hall tree but the notches remain and look a little awkward.
All in all so far so good, I would recommend

So, let me start off by saying that this is a hard one on whether or not I recommend. I would like to start off by saying that the color is darker than expected, which is really upsetting because we already have dark grey walls, and I was expecting more of a dark beige color. If I’d known this was the color I would’ve gone with white to make a bigger presence. Next, I bought the more elaborate type of halter, where there’s 15 cubbies for shoes and 6 hangers for coats etc. so idk about the other style, but this is easily the WORST thing I’ve ever put together. It’s for sure a two man job, started it at about 6 and ended at 11:30, so 5 1/2 hours. Why? Because the boards kept shifting on the really flimsy parts, and would NOT lock in correctly. It frustrated me so bad, and it caused my husband and I to argue because we were both worn to the bone and frustrated. Ended up breaking a piece of it off due to trying to keep the wobbly bit in place, and because directions weren’t clear I had flipped a board backwards, both turning the once 15 cubby hole into a 9 piece. I ended up gluing broken piece back on with construction adhesive, so hopefully it stays, but decided not to put any extra pegs on because it would be really ugly if the board came off. HOWEVER, through all the bad, this hall tree is undeniably gorgeous. This is my first house that I own, and I will stop at nothing to make my dream home a reality. So, it was still worth it to me. To the average person, probably not. It might go smoother for you if you start with having another person help you, and before screwing the boards Willy nilly look a few steps ahead to make sure it isn’t backwards. If this is a piece you just can’t not have in your home, go for it.

I have bought and assembled a lot of furniture in my life and I have never experienced worse quality than this. While attempting to erect the furniture per the instructions the entire thing collapsed. It damaged my kitchen cabinet and a buffet and I am lucky it did not hurt me. Upon inspection turns out the bottom pieces where just glued to the piece they were attached to. And neither the dowels nor the bolts were sturdy enough to hold it together. As per the picture with the bent bolts and snapped dowels. The reason why there are not more snapped dowels in the picture is because most of them stayed in the holes and cannot be pulled out. Maybe I got a lemon but I would advise you not to buy this item.
