Love it! It was easy to put together . Didn’t take long at all. All of my boys toys fit inside because it’s pretty spacious. It’s worth the money . The lid won’t close on its own . You have to push it down .
We will see how it holds up. My boys are rough lol.

We love this toy chest. It is the perfect size. Quite large and fits a ton of toys, but not to big to take up a lot of room in our apartment. It looks very nice and functions quite well. The hinges used are quality and they allow for very easy operation. The lid stays open in any position and never comes crashing down because the hinges hold it in place. This is a important feature because the first thing my 9 month old baby did was walk up to it, open and close the lid multiple times while taking several breaks to stick his head in the toy chest and see what is in there. This toy chest is very safe so I have no worry of it hurting my curious little baby. It is also the perfect height so our 9 month old can stand up and hold onto it, operate the lid himself, and reach a few toys that are closer to the top. The wood is a good compromise between durable hardwood and lower cost particle board. I am sure it could support children who want to sit on it and maybe a light weight adult, but it is really not designed to be used as a bench.
Before this toy chest came toys were everywhere. Pilling up in corners and hard to clean up at the end of the day. We needed a toy chest so onto amazon I went. I have a few other of Melissa and Doug’s products and they are all made very well and our baby has loved them. I was happy to see that they make a toy chest so I have something to contain all the toys they sold me. I think this toy chest is a good price point and uses durable enough materials to last a long time. It is also nice that it comes in different colors so that you can match your decor. Building this toy chest was very easy, anyone could do it. It only used one tool and took about 20 minutes or less. After I built it I noticed that the lid did not align well and it would crash into the side of the toy chest when I closed it. So I loosened the screws, realigned the lid and then fastened the screws. Problem was solved. It also mentions in the instructions to wait until it is full assembled before you fully fasten all the screws. I found that it was important to have the chest on level ground when fastening all the screws and not have two legs on and two legs off the carpet like I did at first.
I would recommend this to anyone who has a baby or child with a lot of toys. It is really nice to have a place to put all the toys at the end of the day and also control how many toys are out in the play area at one time. I look forward to using the toy chest as a teaching tool to help my son learn how to tidy up after himself. This is an investment that will last a long time in any child’s bedroom or play area and it is certainly worth the money.

Really sturdy and beautiful! My daughter loves it. Let’s see how it holds over time but I think will be ok.

Great buy for money spent. Easy assembly, sturdy toy box and bench. Color as shown in advertisement. Perfect for toddler.

Overall, this toy box is fine. It has provided a place to store toys and helped create a sense of responsibility in my child and keeping after their belongings. The size of the box is decent, it can hold a good amount of toys. Color is as advertised, a nice neutral grey. Construction is simple, it’s a box. But when you get to the accessories needed for hinges, the holes don’t line up and securing them is awkward. The screws used to put the box together also take some considerable torque, which most hands do not possess. A drill is needed to GENTLY tighten them once the box is nearly done. There is also an unpleasant smell from the paint. It’s been weeks and the smell is still hanging around. This is called off-gassing, hopefully no harmful vocs, as this is a kid’s toy box. I researched these boxes for way too long and this does seem to be the best, safest storage for the cost. It also provides a nice reading seat for little ones.

This toy box is obviously designed by parents and it’s wonderful. The lid stays open until pushed closed. It’s impossible for a child to get locked or trapped inside. It also holds a good number of toys and items and I don’t worry about it supporting the weight of my kids sitting on it.

I ordered this a few months ago and its held up very nicely! super easy to assemble and its really sturdy. it holds a lot of lose toys and looks really nice as well. My kids also use it for a little table to eat there snacks on. all tools for assembly are included.

I am very impressed with this toy box. It looks very nice quality and machined very well. The parts were all protected with soft fiber plastic and also styrofoam. The screws were all packaged and numbered for easy reading. It took about 10 minutes to put it together with my son impatiently waiting by my side. It fits perfectly into the cubby in his bedroom. The cost of this is priced so well that when I saw it I could not believe it was in the same price range as MDF or particleboard boxes. I would buy it again but I really don’t think I will need to. My son will outgrow it before it falls apart. Side note: This is coming from a person who built cabinets for 47 years.

Love them! We ordered two for my girl and my boys. They have so much storage we only really need one. Good quality they should hold up just fine for my little ones. They look pretty nice as well!
Two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼

This is great for toy storage. The lid stays exactly where you put it and the small open space between the bench and lid means no squished fingers. Lots of space and I like that it’s also sturdy enough that it could be used as extra seating. It also looks nice in our living area.

Great toy box. My daughter is 19 months and she is able to open and go through it. Not to high and not to low. Holds a good amount of toys.

I just bought a second one of these toy chests. They’re great! Yes, the price is high, but you get a sturdy bin that holds a decent amount of toys *and* allows people to sit on it like a bench. The hinges that hold the lid open operate smoothly. My first bin has seen about six months of use by three rowdy boys and it’s still just as sturdy as when I got it.
Assembly is straightforward. The first time I assembled it with the “help” of a five year old and it took a couple hours. The second bin took maybe half an hour with two adults working together.

This is a great chest for my 3 year old’s toys. It holds alot of toys. It is well made and good quality. Easy to put together if you follow the instructions. Eg. Not tightening all the bolts at first and angling the lid when putting the safety arms on. It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to put together by myself while 6 months pregnant.
