The wood is cheap but it doesn’t look like it. you can only tell by feeling/touching it. One of mine came with a crack. Only noticed after building all four of them. Inspected them too late. With the kids constantly grabbing books, I am sure that one won’t last. It’s overpriced but for me it’s ok.
They are cute and easy to put together. I give it 4 out of 5 because they do the job and looks great.

I ordered these floating shelves for my daughter’s nursery to put her books on. The size is great for holding a good number of books. They were well packaged, easy to assemble, and arrived undamaged. There were actually extra hardware pieces in the package and a little level. Thank goodness for the extra wall anchors because I may have crushed a couple trying to get them into the hole in the drywall.
Hanging them on the wall was a breeze with the hanging template provided. I held on to that and the extra hardware in case I ever move them. I also flipped one of them upside down to use the top for decor and the bottom to hang burp cloths, swaddles, or light blankets underneath.

These shelves were very easy to put together. They were packaged really nicely in the box so they weren’t damaged during shipping. All needed tools were included other than the drill/hammer to hang them on the wall. They even came with a drilling guide and a mini level, which was super helpful when hanging them.
I love how they look in my son’s room and they are pretty study! A great product, in my opinion.

Love these bookshelves, they were easy to assemble and attach to the wall and the hardware kit came with extras of everything, a ruler for where to drill, and a level. Love how they turned out and that they fit multiple books per unit! We put the 4th shelf in a different spot to display framed artwork.

These little book shelves were the perfect addition to our son’s play corner within our living room. Now the books have a home instead of being buried underneath everything else. Pretty easy installation, but you’ll need longer screws than what they provide should you encounter a stud in the wall like we did. The shelf may not lay perfectly flat if you have popcorn/textured walls, but it works well enough and you can’t tell that it’s not completely flush.
So happy that I got it.

We purchased this set of 4 shelves in white, and I just got done putting them together and will hang them tomorrow. For the price, this product is outstanding!
1. Packaging is very good with items shrink wrapped and well protected for shipping.
2. The directions are quite good and large enough to see.
3. The fit and finish of the items is excellent. The did a great job in designing them and you only need a drill, small hammer and a pencil to install them. They include a nice template for placement of the hollow wall anchors and the directions show you how to place the shelf unit on the wall, use the included bubble level and put the template on top of the shelf in order to mark the location of the screw holes. You just need to realize that you are not placing the shelf where it is going to be, but just using as a means to create a level line for the template….so the template should go on the wall where you want the center of the shelf (top to bottom) to be.
4. As mentioned in the title of the review, these shelves could be used anywhere as they don’t look as they they were designed for young children. They are simply very nice solid wood shelves.
We are going to use them for book racks for the books we have for our granddaughter. My wife wants them mounted on the wall so she can see the different books we have, and of course, my wife will be adding and removing books so the granddaughter has some new books to explore.
This set of wall mounted bookshelves is well worth purchasing. With Amazon’s return policy, you can’t go wrong!
