Andrea Breau –
This is my first time using any kind of chalk paint and wax, so I experimented on a small table. I painted it gray, then white and distressed it. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this wax but I gave it a go and it seems to do what it says but I’m not sure I like the effect for this particular piece. I have some distressing but I wanted to keep most of it white so I didn’t put this wax in a lot of places, it really makes it look very old. It looks okay along the legs but on the shelf surface it kind of looked like someone had spilled coffee. I don’t have chipped paint so I’m not sure this is the look I wanted on the table but I will find other uses for this wax. As others have mentioned, it’s the same consistency as paint, not really waxy.

Well I’m going to say right out the gate I’m new to Chalk painting. I painted a Bed and 2 nightstands strait Black and came out well. Although I thought doing the dressers in Black would be too much, so I bought a Parisian Grey, then decided to try this Black wax on top, see how it would come out; and I like it. A little sure goes a long way, and you can wipe it to be as light or dark, as you like. Super Thin consistency, whether that is a plus or minus I do not know, I never tried a thicker wax product. All my Annie Salone paint I bought was thrown away during the move, before I even had a chance to use it. Why I decided to try a cheaper alternative; but I’m happy with the way it came out for someone who never used Chalk paint before.

After seeing a you tube video on how to age up canvas prints I bought this to have a go and it worked really well. Gives a nice aging effect you can layer up and desaturated the images – very pleased

This wax is so amazing. It blends well and is easy to apply. If you mix it with a bit of water, you can use it for stain. I love how it makes my new stuff look old and antique!

I painted a couple lamps a creamy white and used this product over top to “age” and add interest. Very easy to paint or wipe on with a microfiber cloth and wipe off until a desired look is achieved. Washes off hands easily with water. I have a lot left for more projects.

Easy on and easy shine. Very easy to use as a wood stain or an antiquing wax. For a darker color leave the wax on longer or use additional coats…

One of the best waxes I’ve used! Goes on easily with nice appearance

Gives you the most amazing faux wood look and is increasingly durable.

I wish I could buy something with this quality in Germany. We don‘t have something like this antique wax. It is gorgeous. High pigmented, easy to work with, great result. And I wish, I would have bought more than only one in June. Because now I read, they don‘t ship any longer to Germany. Very sad. There were so many projects I wanted to realize with the wax. Now I don‘t know how I should do it.
It is the same problem with minwax gel stain. We can‘t buy this in Germany and we don‘t have any gel stain here, only dropping, sticky, annoying liquids. Sometimes DIY here is not as funny as it could be.
Please excuse my bad English.

So, my 80s home has a brass chandelier that I will eventually replace. I figured I have nothing to lose and decided to try to make it look like a newer wood chandelier. I used white chalk paint, followed by this dark wax. I brushed it on with a chip brush, then waited 10 seconds or so and wiped it in the same direction as it was brushed. I love the look of this! So easy to use, beautiful color, not sticky and dried quickly. Amazing value, as I hardly made a dent in the container. Sooo happy with this!
