Purchased this based off of assuming the negative reviews just couldn’t figure out how to assemble. I was COMPLETELY WRONG!!! This chair is absolutely a piece of trash! The PREDRILLED holes for the legs are drilled CROOKED, which will make the legs turn in and break. The cushion is flat on one side……the right side was open nearly a 1/4 inch from the left side in the joint areas. Opened the box, assembled, and found all of these flaws upon completion. It is literally back in its box to be picked up by UPS tomorrow. This was not mistakes made by me, the chair assembly doesn’t leave room for THESE type of problems, it is constructed This way. People that don’t notice either can’t tell the difference, or are willing to live with it….for $400, I’m not!

We are delighted with these chairs. The color is perfect , they were easy to put together and they look great in our living room. We were somewhat reluctant to choose something we had not seen or tried out but found them even nicer than we had expected. A great buy.

I received the chair on time. It was well packaged and in perfect condition. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to assemble. The chair padding itself is very firm and rather hard, so not super comfortable, but it isn’t uncomfortable either. It just doesn’t make me want to curl up in it. It’s strong and sturdy – well made. However, the wings on the side of the back aren’t symmetrical. (See photo) The locks and screws lined up and assembled as they were supposed to, despite the left wing aligning a half inch higher and a little farther forward than the right. The mis-alignment is noticeable visually. This is strictly an aesthetic and manufacturing mistake, it in no way hinders the structure or function of the chair. For the comfort factor and the aesthetics, I gave it a three star. I don’t need new parts or to replace the chair, it’s just not perfect. However, I doubt most people would even notice it. It would be too much of a hassle to try to get it replaced or fixed. It’s the risk of buying it without seeing it or sitting in it first.

This is a great chair for the money. Looks great, reclines to two positions. The seat is pretty firm but other users have indicated it softens a bit over time. Assembly is pretty straight forward, though installing the wings is tricky because you cant’s see the metal parts or the screw hole while lining them up. My recliner arrived missing the metal sleeves on the back piece that fit over the metal pieces on the seat to hold the two sections together. A quick call to Amazon solved that. They delivered a new chair the next day and arranged for UPS to pick the defective one. I simply swapped out the back pieces. Could not have been easier.

I bought this for my elderly mother in a retirement home. I was concerned that it would look too cheap for her tastes. However, the fabric was a gorgeous neutral color, sort of a faux linen look. It was easy to put together, but you will need a second person to help you, at least to get it out of the box initially! The construction is a little on the not-so-durable side, but for the price, I figure we can buy her another one in a couple of years when she is tired of this one! A couple of reviews said this chair was difficult to recline, but it isn’t really, just different than the ones that have the recliner handle/lever on the side- you just push back with your feet, arms and legs to make it recline. No biggee and not hard at all. I wish we had sprayed the recliner with fabric protector before we brought it inside, but my mom put a beautiful lapblanket/throw on it, which serves two purposes – protects the fabric a little and keeps her warm.

I absolutely love these chairs…they are traditional wing backs with a hidden recliner feature, lovely linen fabric, and studded tufts. So lovely and elegant. Only advice is to ensure weight limits. seat depth, and chair height to ensure this is the right chair for you or your family members….PERFECT for me; therefore, I have moved them into my primary bedroom seating area…so elegant and comfortable.

I got this chair a few weeks back and wanted to give an honest review.
It arrived quickly and very well packaged. It wasn’t difficult to assemble- maybe 15 min. It’s firm. Not uncomfortable at all but definitely firm.
I enjoy it daily with my coffee in the early hours as the morning is just starting. Sitting back, reading my book, listening to the birds outside.
I’m glad I purchased it and it’s beautiful in the home. Cleans easily (vacuum) from the pet hair etc.

Has a bit of a “new” smell, which should dissipate after a few days. Seat is very firm, but I’m sure it will soften over time. Very easy to assemble, and comes with two allen wrenches to put it together. Instructions were easy to follow. Packaging is VERY solid and took some time to tear the box off of the chair. Solid and heavy when finished. I will probably order another one.

Cons..1. seatback sits in brackets a little loose. But, supports well. Not a deal breaker.? 2. Seat cushion is harder than I would like. But, I use a pillow or folded up blanket for more cushioning. Again, not a deal breaker.
Pros.. Easy assembly. Good quality. Color is perfect. Retractable footrest is a plus.
