Looks great! I bought the “walnut” TWIN size.
Appearance and description: I was wanting a finish that would match our other furniture (a medium natural cherry shade), and complement with the Koa (tiger wood) flooring. I took a chance, but in the picture, “Walnut” looked like our cherry furniture. I figured I could take a look at the wood when I received it and return it if I didn’t like the color. I was very happy with the color! It does look just like the picture.
Packing and assembly: It was packed very well and with care. All of the pieces were accounted for. It came with instructions, but for us, the assembly was so easy and intuitive, we didn’t need to refer to them.
Functionality: It not only looks great, comes in good condition because of careful packaging, and is easy to assemble, but it also functions exactly as it should. My son is 6’3” and slim, but with his height, he is still a substantial sized new adult. It supports his mattress with no creaks or ominous sounds of protest when he sits or lies. He doesn’t jump on his bed, so I don’t know if it could withstand that kind of treatment, but he’s also far too tall to do so without hitting his head on the ceiling, and he has matured beyond that anyway. Speaking of height, it has a very nice clearance for storage, and also is not too low to the floor. Tall people can appreciate that. I looked at many similar styles of bed and this one had one of the best under bed clearance. On the TWIN, there are just 4 sturdy legs and no other ugly supports under the bed to interfere with storage or cleaning.
Price: This is obvious. It is a good price. I was thrilled that my top choice was also reasonably priced.

Super easy to put together and looks great. Luckily I had no issues with the joints being loose or anything and i haven’t had any issues with noise. I will say that it’s quite heavy so if you live upstairs, you’re gonna need help carrying it up. Other than that it was a piece of cake. The instructions are pictures and everything has a numbered sticker to tell you which part goes where. Put together, it looks just like the picture. Very happy with my purchase!

Aesthetically this bedframe is nice. It’s very easy to assemble and very heavy when delivered. Where it locks into itself, the corners stick out so much that when I’m making the bed I tend to hit my knee on it. Even when pushed all the way up against the wall, there is a gap between the mattress and the wall where my pillow will sometimes fall. The frame itself slides around a lot, and overall it’s fairly sturdy.

All the joinery joints are overcut. You can drop a quarter dollar between the joints. Here’s the problem, the parts drop into place too easily resulting in a frame that sways and rocks in all directions. Japanese joinery relies on precise fitting of wooden components without nails or screws. If built correctly, you basically need a rubber mallet to tap pieces into place because the parts should fit tightly together. The manufacturer needs to provide some sort of shim to help snug things up and it would be 100x better. I created a system of cardboard shims between all the joinery surfaces and it’s now as solid as a rock. If not willing to modify, save your money. I’ve got no complaint with the material itself, but the loose joinery completely makes the design obsolete out of the box.

I built a twin sized bed for my parents guest room during Covid that used castle joints, made from raw 4×4 Douglas fir milled to 3×3 on a jointer, and then I hand chiseled 1×3 slots into those beams for 1×3 poplar slats. I love that bed, it’s so sturdy and comfortable. They wanted a queen for another room and I just don’t have time right now.
This is like 80% there but costs as much as I spent on raw materials for a finished product without needing 40+ hours of work. So I’m absolutely thrilled with it. It’s a happy accident that the natural acacia is a near match for the bamboo floor. Will update if they have any durability issues.

These were recommended to me by a friend as a cheaper alternative to Thuma, and I was not disappointed.
It was easy to put together and involved only 4 screws: the outer frame is joinery, the ribs are kept in place with mostly Velcro.
Very sturdy bedframe and looks great paired with my wood floor.
The only thing I wish could be better is the wood finish on the ribs which are little rough.

Just got this bed frame and it was really easy to assemble. Took about 15 minutes total. Like the black color and seems plenty sturdy. Hard to beat for the price.
